The Missing Vanguard Quest
Wiki isn't very clear about this. Does anyone know what r the requirements for The Missing Vanguard quest? Who do I go to to start it (in Guild Wiki it says that u go to Gwen to start it, but in the other wiki, it says that u have to watch a vision to start it)? Do I need a tapestry shred? Can I use a different item? Cuz I wanna save my tapestry shred for "Then and Now, Here and There." So what items and NPC do I need to do this quest? Thanks for the help.

No I mean when u talk to her during The Missing Vanguard quest, it says on Guild Wiki:
From The Past When you enter the Hall of Monuments with the Tapestry Shred, Preserved Red Iris Flower, Red Iris Flower, or Gwen's Broken Flute a dialogue will start between you and Gwen. Gwen: "You say you are from the south. You look strangely familiar." <name>: "We met long ago. I have some things of yours." Gwen: "So many feelings. So many memories. I... no. The Ebon Vanguard needs us. We'll talk again after that matter is settled." What if I don't have any of those items? Will she still talk to me? And if I have one of those items, will she take it away? |

But don't u have to have one of the items in order to talk to her (during The Missing Vanguard)? If so, will she take ur item(s) away?

You don't need the red iris flower for missing vanguard quest - there's a master's quest later for which you'll need that.
Enter the hall of monuments, find Gwen by the scrying pool, and then go look into the pool. The Missing Vanguard is one of the first quests you'll run out in the Charr homelands. |

For the Ebon Vanguard Quest just talk to gwen and select the Missing Ebon Vanguard Quest tab. Completly Disregard the conversation befor hand until you complete Ebon Vanguard.
You do not need your items. She will not take any of them. Question Answered. |

I think Guild Wars may be a little above your play level, you're asking a lot of unnecessary questions that are easily answered by checking for yourself in-game, or using Wiki. Don't put too much thought into things, just try it, if it works it works, if not, you're missing something.
No offense meant, I've just been stumbling into your threads a lot over the past few days, it's good that you're trying to learn, but Wiki has literally answered every question word for word o.o |

Wiki doesn't really answer this question. Guild Wiki and the Official Wiki actually contradict one another. But u r right, sry for being obsessive compulsive. I just like to know exactly what am I doing. U don't have to believe me, but often times asking "stupid questions" can teach u a lot.

Hello Tidus,
I've noticed you're posting alot of questions lately. Most of these are easily answered by searching on the wiki. Please do so before coming here. I will be closing any thread of yours with this message if it's easily found on the wiki. Thanks. |
